Hello Sportz Fans!!

This gooey, sticky weather stinks, and we know you wanna get out of the humidity, so come enjoy our climate controlled, state of the art ComedySportz Arena.

It's a busy weekend here at Comedy Sportz!!! We have a boatload of events for your entertainment!!

Tonight we have a regular, family friendly 7:30 show for $12 a ticket, and we have a sketch comedy show called Monkey Knife Fight performing at 10pm for $12 a ticket.

BUT! If you see the 7:30 show, you can bring your wristband to the ticket counter before Monkey Knife Fight and get half-off tickets! That's only $18 for two full shows!!!

The only catch is that MKF is Adults only. So no kiddies. (it also runs Saturday night at 10pm)

A few announcements!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemens.. How you doin'?

We've got a lot of events coming up in the next few weeks here at ComedySportz i'd love to share with you!

First of all, on Thursday September 6th, we will be man-ing (and Woman-ing) a booth at the 2007 Marquette University "Sample The City" event. So if you're a Marquette Student or Faculty member, stop by and visit us! We'll be handing out some special flyers and some silly people will be floating around making you giggle. Thursday September 6th, 11am in the Alumni Memorial Union Ballroom. Be there or be square.

Also, on September 15th, ComedySportz will be hosting the first annual Flatline Records Milwaukee Battle of the Bands, Sponsored by FM 102.1, Phase II and a few others. 15 bands will perform for fabulous prizes! The show begins at 6pm, and goes until all bands have played, and a winner has been established. Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 in advance. Hey everyone! I hope your weekend was a bunch of fun, and I hope you came down to see us!

We had more big crowds Thursday night, as well as a group of young'uns playing the Battle Royale. Tons of fun, as always.

We had Kramp from Kramp and Adler morning show on 102.1 here with us Friday evening, and holy moley, did they bring the prizes! We gave away a boatload of Ozzfest Tickets, t-shirts and CDs to our audience volunteers. Plus, we gave away tickets to come back to ComedySportz as well. The boys will be back in September... We'll keep you posted so you can come enjoy a show and enjoy all the neat free stuff from 102.1!

This week's special exciting offer is $6.00 tickets for Saturday at 10pm if you mention this blog. That's right kiddies, half off! Come see the 10pm show for $6.00, and stick around for the Midnight show for $5 more! that's two shows for less than the price of one! You can't beat that!!

Oooh! And!! Coming up in less than two weeks-- Monkey Knife Fight!. Monkey Knife Fight is a sketch comedy show that tells the story of Lupe, an idiot savant who can tell you the price of any object, and his struggle to become a contestant on the Price is Right. It's a hillarious journey with him and his family, and the show is ADULTS ONLY. 18+. No kids, you hear me! Meet the Bar Staff!

Comedy was in full swing this past weekend!

On thursday night we had another Battle Royale, and a huge crowd to cheer them on!! Tim Higgins, Honni and Dave Lane won the match, and celebrated uproariously.

For this week's blog entry, I thought I'd introduce some of the barstaff, in case you didn't know them... They're a big, important part of the ComedySportz experience!


This is Mikey Zuleger. He's been a bartender here at ComedySports for a long time, and in a long line of Zulegers to work here at Sportz... He's kind of a legacy.


This here is Josh Lefevre. He started working here when he was 15 years old, and has been here for 7 years... He's done just about every job you can do in this place, and has settled wonderfully into bartending. He thinks he's pretty tough, but deep down on the inside, he's as sweet as a puppy dog.


This is Dan Sloan.. The Illusive cook at ComedySportz. He makes all of our delicious food with a great deal of love. Sightings of Dan are rare, since he hides himself in the kitchen, but when he does venture out, you can usually find him at the pinball machine.



This is Jay and Elsa Manske. Jay is one of the Bar and Restraunt managers, and Elsa is a bartender here at ComedySportz. They're in love, and they are married.



This is Honni. Honni is asometimes-bartender, always sillyman. He is also a host here, and you may not recognize him becuase he's not in a silly costume or hiding behind a tree. Honni will always make you feel welcome, and will always make you laugh.


These people, along with the rest of our bar staff of waitresses, bartenders, and Ed try their best to make you full of food and drink, as well as make your time here as comfy and enjoyable as possible.

This weekend in our bar, we have $2 Miller products and $3 Jaeger bomb drink specials on Friday night, as well as another visit from FM 102.1, and Kramp from the morning show. The FM 102.1 street team will be giving away tons of prizes, so be there!!!

Remember, 7:30pm on Friday, as well as the rest of our regualr show schedule!
